ACORN Fraud In North Carolina

Yup, it just keeps piling up. Soon that annoying drip overflows the sink

DURHAM - State Board of Elections officials are trying to determine whether about 100 voter registration forms submitted by a local chapter of a national grassroots organization to the Durham County Board of Elections are fraudulent.

Similar accusations have been lodged across the country against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, which goes by the name ACORN. In Durham, the claims were made last month after the group submitted about 5,000 voter registration forms to the county board of elections.

“All of a sudden, I started seeing the same names over and over again,” said Mike Ashe, county elections director. He said some forms had similar names but different addresses or dates of birth.

Shocka! And, in a second story from the Raleigh N&O

Devastating Obama-ACORN ad from McCain campaign

Now if the candidate could articulate these points as well as his GENIUS ad team does…

I wonder if this qualifies as “not saying it to his face?”

Calling the Old Media: Five Million Illegals Have Illegal Mortgages in U.S.A.!

-By Warner Todd Huston

A single report by KFYI radio of Phoenix, Arizona highlights a shocking claim made by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). HUD says that five million illegal aliens hold illegal mortgages. This is just one more example of the lax lending laws put into place by Democrats like Barney Frank that have contributed to this economic crisis. One would think this would be big news. But, so far we have only this one report to cover it.

There have been earlier stories of home flipping schemes that made liberal use of illegal aliens as straw buyers and the FBI has followed numerous cases to prosecution and conviction. But the Old Media have not done much with this story.

KFYI reports that these fraudulent straw purchases of mortgages by illegal aliens has affected every state in the union.

One illegal alien was arrested this year in Tucson after allegedly using a stolen social security number to buy two homes and rack up over $780,000 in bad debt.

Some five million fraudulent home mortgages are in the hands of illegal aliens, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

It’s not known how many of those have contributed to the subprime housing mortgage meltdown, but it has affected every state, including Arizona.

The problem began years ago when banks were forced to give mortgages without confirming social security numbers or borrower identification. As a result, illegal immigrants were able to obtain home mortgages which they could not afford.

Lax immigration laws have also helped make this crime easy to perpetrate.

In 1965 a Democrat Controlled Congress under President Lyndon Johnson passed the concept of “chain” immigration into law. A later commission named the Hesburgh Commission convened during Ronald Reagan’s first term, found that this concept statistically allowed each single immigrant to bring into this country 84 of his family members. Of course, all these people have to live somewhere making such fraudulent mortgages quite attractive.

What illegal struggling to survive is going to pass up a free house that he can move into without having to present any identification, proof of employment, financial history or even a down payment?

It isn’t impossible for a foreigner to get a mortgage in the U.S., of course. There is a way but it requires a lot of proof and paperwork.

“Known as ITIN mortgages because applicants must have an individual taxpayer identification number, the fixed-rate loans are designed for immigrants who can prove they are creditworthy and pay taxes even though they don’t have legal permanent residency in the U.S…. The mortgages represent a fraction of the $2.8 trillion mortgage market. ”

This story should be in every paper and on every TV news cast. Yet it isn’t. I’ll leave the guessing as to why with you, gentle reader.

Notice: the link to the story above is a Google cached page link because KFYI has pulled down their report.

The Imperial Judiciary strikes again, reinvents marriage in CT

MSNBC: Conn. court overturns same-sex marriage ban

(Note:please excuse the ridiculous headline, I didn’t craft it…the MSM stylebook demands these days that every marriage law is a “same-sex marriage ‘ban’” as if marriage was set up to deny something to people attracted to members of the same sex)

The Connecticut Supreme Court overturned a ban on same-sex marriage Friday in a victory for gay-rights advocates that will allow couples to marry in the New England state.

The court found that the state’s law limiting marriage to heterosexual couples discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation. The Connecticut Supreme Court ruled that same-sex couples have the right to marry.

From the majority opinion:

We conclude that, in light of the history of pernicious discrimination faced by gay men and lesbians, and because the institution of marriage carries with it a status and significance that the newly created classification of civil unions does not embody, the segregation of heterosexual and homosexual couples into separate institutions constitutes a cognizable harm. We also conclude that (1) our state scheme discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation, (2) for the same reasons that classifications predicated on gender are considered quasi-suspect for purposes of the equal protection provisions of the United States constitution, sexual orientation constitutes a quasi-suspect classification for purposes of the equal protection provisions of the state constitution, and, therefore, our statutes discriminating against gay persons are subject to heightened or intermediate judicial scrutiny, and (3) the state has failed to provide sufficient justification for excluding same sex couples from the institution of marriage. In light of our determination that the state’s disparate treatment of same sex couples is constitutionally deficient under an intermediate level of scrutiny, we do not reach the plaintiffs’ claims implicating a stricter standard of review, namely, that sexual orientation is a suspect classification, and that the state’s bar against same sex marriage infringes on a fundamental right in violation of due process and discriminates on the basis of sex in violation of equal protection. In accordance with our conclusion that the statutory scheme impermissibly discriminates against gay persons on account of their sexual orientation, we reverse the trial court’s judgment and remand the case with direction to grant the plaintiffs’ motion for summary judgment.

Yes, when Connecticut was founded, and in all societies and cultures for thousands of years prior, the powers-that-be got together to figure out ways to harm people who prefer same-sex relationships. “I’ve got it,” they all said. “We will invent marriage! That will stick it to the gays! We must make [sure] they are denied equal protection!”

No, that isn’t why marriage has been what marriage has been for the entire history of this country and most other societies in the history of mankind. Marriage is one man and one woman because there is unique thing that a union between a man and woman provides to society that no other relationship does…do we really need a birds and bees lesson? That is why it recognized as unique and apart from all other relationships…and why it should be. If marriage is about nothing other than getting a government stamp of approval on close relationships — then we must license best friends, old spinsters and any combination or number of people who run to the county clerk’s office to say they love each other. No honest argument exists anymore in California, Massachusetts and Connecticut anyway, to deny any couple or any group of any size a “marriage license.” After all, according to the court, “the state has failed to provide sufficient justification for excluding same sex couples from the institution of marriage.” What about everyone else?

One argument for redefining marriage is that “heterosexuals” are failing at marriage, so homosexuals should have a “right” to be married. That’s like arguing that the way to fix a flat is to slash the spare.

Yes marriage has suffered. No-fault divorce — an unmitigated disaster for children. The hyper-sexualization of children that has made sex nothing more than a rite of passage for middle-schoolers. Abortion on demand — which removed us further as a society from taking responsibility for our actions…you know, no one has to be “punished with a baby” anymore. A welfare system that still discourages marriage and encourages single motherhood, which keeps kids in poverty and makes them more likely to spend time in jail. Popular music and entertainment that savages the ideal of marriage and the “white picket fence” nuclear family that has made America the economic engine and the moral light of the world. Much more damage has been done to marriage and children, much of it very purposefully. Some of the very same groups who are agitating to redefine marriage are those who advocate for all the things mentioned above. Why should we continue to lemming-march with them over the precipice?

Here we have it. Once again, a single judge (it was a 4-3 decision) has taken a wrecking ball to laws that have existed since the founding of a state. Hopefully this decision injects new energy into the campaigns in California, Arizona and Florida to amend their constitutions to protect our most vital social institution from the capricious pens of radical judges.

Hope for defeating Obama

An email from PHForAmerica.com

Our TV ad, which went on the air last week, was on YouTube for 3 months and garnered over 4 million hits, far more than any other 527 TV ad. We have one-minute and two-minute ads featuring footage of Obama mocking and ridiculing the Bible, and condescendingly telling Americans that they don’t understand the Bible as wisely as he [Obama] does. Despite being on the air, the Obama campaign incredibly is claiming in their “Fight the Smears” website that we are NOT really on the air and are scamming contributors. We hit them back with a press release [see attached] detailing where our ads are airing now and on which shows [if you are unable to open the attachment, please write back and we'll send it in the body of another e-mail]. This press release also exposed the Obama campaign as liars for claiming our ad would never air. We began airing in Pennsylvania, and are hoping to continue to raise enough money to go into more key swing states that are now leaning towards Obama.

Despite Obama pulling ahead of McCain in the last few weeks, he still only leads McCain by 5 points, and his lead in 11 key swing states [Nevada, Colorado, New Mexico, Missouri, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Ohio, Florida, North Carolina] is five points or less in each state. All those voters who were with McCain a few weeks ago but have switched to Obama could easily switch back to McCain if they are given a compelling enough reason not to vote for Obama. Obama’s support in all these swing states where he is currently leading is very soft.

The Obama campaign is petrified at the fact that our ad is now airing on TV after it received 4 million hits on YouTube in 3 month, far more than any other political ad. The Obama campaign also realizes that our ad is striking a chord. And they also realize that the other 527 ads being used against Obama, as well as the McCain camping ads are all very ineffective, mostly using ideological issues; whereas our ad will appeal to voters of ALL political persuasions who go to church or synagogue and read the Bible. The Obama campaign is going to do everything in their power to discredit our 527 group between now and the election, hoping when the truth comes out it will be too late.

We are going to air our ads in blue-collar states that are leaning towards Obama right now, but are possible McCain takeaways, since the swing voters who will decide who wins those states are white, blue-collar Democrats who sometimes vote Republican; what they used to call “Reagan Democrats.” These voters are now leaning towards Obama, but they are leery of him and have their doubts. Hopefully this ad will convince enough of these voters in the key states to abandon Obama, once they see the side of him exposed in our ad that they’ve never seen before.

These white blue-collar voters in all the key swing states are church-going folks who take the Bible seriously. Because of this, we believe our ad is the only 527 ad that could make a difference in this election. Obama is pulling ahead day by day, and now has a slight lead in states that two weeks ago seemed a lock for McCain [Ohio, Virginia, Florida, Nevada, North Carolina]. We believe the only thing that can stop Obama [besides McCain hopefully becoming more aggressive in his attacks against Obama] is our ad.

If this ad is seen by all the swing voters in all the key swing states, it would not only anger anyone who reads the Bible, but will make anyone who sees the ad re-think the Jeremiah Wright fiasco as well as Obama’s remarks in April that “small town America” is so bitter that they have to “cling to their guns and religion.”

Most Americans have thus far given Obama a pass on those two issues, but after seeing our ad, it will make many, if not most folks think “Now I finally understand why Obama would belong to such a radical church”, and “Now I finally understand Obama’s true contempt for people of faith regarding his ‘cling to their guns and religion’ remark.”

I believe you will agree that this ad needs to be aired as much as possible in as many key states as possible in order to have any impact on the election and stop what today appears to be Barack Obama’s inevitable victory.

Newest Left Attack on GOP: Rallies are ‘Inflammatory’ and ‘Violent’

-By Warner Todd Huston

For the last few days various groups like MoveOn.org, and the folks at Huffington Post, DailyKos and DemocraticUnderground have been beating the drum of a new theme to attempt to undermine the McCain campaign among the media. The newest claim from the extreme left is that McCain’s focus on the Obama/Ayers connection is responsible for fostering “threats” and “violence” to be ginned up among Republicans at McCain rallies. The left is pushing the idea that McCain is inciting riots and “hate” among GOP voters and they are pushing this theme in an email campaign to the main Old Media outlets.

On October 9, for instance, I got no less than 25 emails “alerting” me to a particular Huffington Post jeremiad that is amusing in its replication of the same behavior it pretends to condemn. In this childish bloviation the HuffPo writer uses as much name calling, guilt by association, and bald faced lies as he claims to be refuting from McCain. But, the germ of the argument is that McCain is inciting violence.

Senator McCain and his cowardly running mate have been accusing Senator Obama of associating with terrorists and consequently inciting violent partisans to blurt out death threats about the Democratic nominee.

So, the point the left is trying to push here is that McCain should not be allowed to raise the issues of the character of the sort of anti-Americans that Barack Obama has surrounded himself with throughout his life time. This is because, they argue, if McCain points out that Obama has surrounded himself with racists, unrepentant domestic terrorists, socialists, communists, and foreign dictators, why these facts are nothing but “racism”, inciting to violence and illegitimate. Therefore, they want the media to stop covering it.

Naturally this is an obfuscation. In none of these emails or Internet screeds is the truth that William Ayers and his wife are unrepentant domestic terrorists discussed. They simply ignore the point as if it doesn’t exist to focus solely on McCain’s using the issue.

Dutifully following the extremists of the left’s programing, the AFP published their version of the argument that McCain is “inflaming” his audiences.

WAUKESHA, Wisconsin (AFP) — Shouts of “terrorist” and “treason” aimed at Barack Obama have echoed around Republican rallies, whipping up into alarming, hate-filled frenzies against the Democratic White House hopeful.

Naturally, they try to blame it on Governor Sarah Palin.

Now when she mentions Obama, some of the crowds’ responses have escalated beyond boos and hisses, and there are fears among some observers that the attacks are going too far.

Once again, AFP did not discuss that flat out fact that William Ayers and his wife are terrorists and that NEITHER have ever denounced their own past actions. No, they want to lead everyone to believe that this issue of what sort of people Obama pals around with is just guilt by association and meaningless.

The Washington Post is also flogging the notion that all of McCain’s voters are “angry” with its own October 10 story. Expect to see more of this from the Old Media.

But, just look at but a few of Obama’s associates, “mentors,” friends, and organizations:

When Obama was a young man he was mentored by an avowed communist named Frank Marshall Davis.

When Obama first came to Chicago to take up his career of “community organizer” he became an important member of ACORN ( the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), a group currently under investigation and indictment in multiple States for vote fraud. ACORN is also intimately linked with several unions in shady financial dealings that have netted the group millions upon millions of dollars. Also, the brother of the founder of ACORN embezzled one million dollars of the organization’s funds to his personal account and ACORN covered up the crime.

Obama also found a “spiritual mentor” in the racist Reverend Jeremiah Wright famous for wanting God to “damn America,” and for saying that the U.S. created AIDS to kill blacks. Wright also pushes a black centric, anti-white version of Liberation Theology warped to fit his racist agenda.

When Obama sought to launch his political career he was befriended by William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn, both of whom had been on the run from the FBI for decades for murder and domestic terrorism. Neither have ever denounced their past evil actions yet Obama launched his campaign for the Senate with a fundraising party in Ayers and Dohrn’s living room in Hyde Park, Illinois.

In the 1990s, Obama sought and received the endorsement of a socialist organization called The New Party in Chicago.

In August of 2007, at the expense of the American treasury, Barack Obama went to Kenya and campaigned for Kenyan dictator Raila Odinga, a communist dictator responsible for murdering political opponents.

And this is but a short list of the sort of people working for Obama. People like long-time labor activist and avowed Socialist Bill Fletcher, Jr. is working for the Obama campaign. Tom Hayden and the activist actor Danny Glover are as well. There are so many anti-Americans on this campaign that they cannot all be listed effectively.

The central question the American people have to answer for themselves when they head to their polling places is if they can vote for Obama even though at key moments throughout his life he has surrounded himself with, and accepted as close advisers, enemies to the very country he intends to lead? Can Americans vote into the highest office a man whose closest friends and advisers are enemies to the country?

But, MoveOn, HuffingtonPost, DailyKos and the like want to shut the debate down. They want Americans to remain ignorant of the dangerous people that Barack Obama counts as his closest allies and advisers. They want Americans to go to the polls utterly ignorant of the sort of man they are electing to the White House.

Let’s all make sure the MoveOn and Huffington types lose this battle.

An American Carol: Filmmakers are NOT Saying there is a Conspiracy

-By Warner Todd Huston

Once again, we see the long knives sharpened against the right by employing innuendo and outright lies. This time it is against the movie An American Carol. On Tuesday, I reported that there was some concern that ticket sales for the movie were being diverted to other movies at certain theaters across the country. But, I never said there was a “conspiracy” to do so. The filmmakers also attempted to do some detective work to find out the veracity of the claims. But they didn’t call it a conspiracy either. Apparently simply asking the question, though, is too much for Wonkette and Huffington Post to handle. They had to gin it up as some wild-eyed claim of a “conspiracy” on our part.

In her inimitably profane and unprofessional style, Wonkette claimed the filmmakers are saying some great, leftist conspiracy is destroying the movie. The next day, an entry at the Huffington Post asserted the same thing. From there the lefty blogs took over to add to the din. Unfortunately for their hyperbole, the movie folks never asserted any such thing (for that matter, neither did I).

In fact, the folks that produced An American Carol went so far as to take down their page offering movie goers a place to report the incorrect ticket sales. I have been told by a spokesman from Mpower pictures that they had no intention of claiming there was some nationwide conspiracy being mounted against their film and that they will not be making any further public comments for the time being. But, there have been reports from many theaters that, among other things, fans have been handed tickets stubs from other movies instead of from the movie they came to see. It was the responsible thing to do, in my opinion, to give fans a place to report the matter if they felt they had been one of those defrauded.

The concern here is if individual theaters or their employees were purposefully crediting ticket sales to films other than what should be credited. Concerns ranged from cineplexes showing the movie not placing the title on marquees, to ticket sales being credited to other films. Also, some theaters had the rating of the film incorrect — showing an “R” rating instead of the proper “PG13″ — some theaters did not mention the film in recorded movie time phone messages even when the theater was showing the film, and tickets not being offered for sale on-line at individual theaters.

This isn’t the first time, though, such a thing has happened to politically charged products. Spike Lee has for decades complained about these sort of things, yet no one is attacking him for saying the same thing. And, we all have heard time and again the reports that books published by conservative radio and TV personalities have been hidden in books stores so that sales are hindered. Rush, Hannity, O’Reilly, they have all seen reports of this sort of thing.

Even so, no one is claiming that the booksellers are secretly conspiring to hinder book sales. What we are saying is that there are many millions of people out there that are not above taking it upon themselves to defraud or hinder the sales of politically charged products like books and movies. This is the case with An American Carol. If lone employees or individual theater owners are pulling a fast one on the film, it should be exposed. But, no one is saying there is some vast left-wing conspiracy going on.

In any case, do go see An American Carol. It’s an enjoyable romp with the right message that deserves our support. And don’t listen to these untruths emanating from people that hate the movie solely for its political motivations. Don’t forget to buy it on DVD when it comes out, too!

Detroit Auto Makers Unions to Spend $3 Mil on Obama Campaign

-By Warner Todd Huston

According to Reuters, the United Auto Workers (UAW) has announced that they are spending $3 million on TV, radio and Web ads to promote the election of Barack Obama this month.

The ads, which feature UAW members talking about lost health care benefits and the loss of manufacturing jobs, will run on television, radio and Web sites in the key manufacturing states of Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

These union thugs have some gall to claim that increasing benefits is a good idea. Let’s take a look and see how unions have already made American car manufacturers uncompetitive with others.

According to Fortune Magazine, union health care costs add at least $1,635 to the cost of every vehicle. The same measures only add $215 to the cost of a car made by Toyota. Other union costs add an additional $980 per vehicle.

US auto makers are already thousands of dollars in the hole per vehicle compared to their foreign competition before a single car rolls off the lines.

These anti-competitive costs will soar under an Obama administration.

Confirmation On Barack Obama’s Iraq Agreement Meddling

Hmm, I wonder if the rest of the Credentialed Media will cover this story of an obvious Logan Act violation, which goes much, much more into detail then the original New York post editorial by Amir Taheri (visit Wizbang and Hot Air for some of the original breakdown). Washington Times: Obama tried to sway Iraqis on Bush deal (FYI, the Wash Times is having some connectivity issues today)

At the same time the Bush administration was negotiating a still elusive agreement to keep the U.S. military in Iraq, Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama tried to convince Iraqi leaders in private conversations that the president shouldn’t be allowed to enact the deal without congressional approval.

Mr. Obama’s conversations with the Iraqi leaders, confirmed to The Washington Times by his campaign aides, began just two weeks after he clinched the Democratic presidential nomination in June and stirred controversy over the appropriateness of a White House candidate’s contacts with foreign governments while the sitting president is conducting a war.

Two important points there. First, the Barry camp has confirmed that Obama was violating the Logan Act, and second, that it started well before Obama was goaded into making a foray to Iraq.

Mr. Obama spoke June 16 to Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari when he was in Washington, according to both the Iraqi Embassy in Washington and the Obama campaign. Both said the conversation was at Mr. Zebari’s request and took place on the phone because Mr. Obama was traveling.

However, the two sides differ over what Mr. Obama said.

“In the conversation, the senator urged Iraq to delay the [memorandum of understanding] between Iraq and the United States until the new administration was in place,” said Samir Sumaidaie, Iraq’s ambassador to the United States.

So, here we have an issue, according to Ambassador Sumaidaie, of Obama meddling for purely political purposes. It sure says something about Obama’s character, leadership, and judgment, eh?

SM Friday: What Do You Mean Things Look Rosy In Iraq?

Surrender Monkey good news Iraq

On one hand, the Surrender Monkey is not amused. It really does not help the cause of the Defeatocrats to talk about The Surge having worked in The Paper Of Record. On the flip side, there is nothing Surrendie loves more then a surrender to the inevitable

Market by market, square by square, the walls are beginning to come down. The miles of hulking blast walls, ugly but effective, were installed as a central feature of the surge of American troops to stop neighbors from killing one another.

“They protected against car bombs and drive-by attacks,” said Adnan, 39, a vegetable seller in the once violent neighborhood of Dora, who argues that the walls now block the markets and the commerce that Baghdad needs to thrive. “Now it is safe.”

The slow dismantling of the concrete walls is the most visible sign of a fundamental change here in the Iraqi capital. The American surge strategy, which increased the number of United States troops and contributed to stability here, is drawing to a close. And a transition is under way to the almost inevitable American drawdown in 2009.

Huh? The Surge has worked? Maybe someone should tell That One, who still thinks that The Surge was a failure, and has created any and all talking points to force an artificial redeployment out of Iraq, even saying he would send the troops to Afghanistan. Anyone who believes that he would really do that is basically Andrew Sullivan insane.

“The Iraqi security forces are now able to protect Iraq,” said Joaidi Nahim Mahmoud Arif, a National Police sergeant in Dora, in southern Baghdad. “They will depend on themselves above all.”

I’ll grant that the Coalition top leadership really blew it once the initial war was over, but, now, as we move the troops out of Iraq responsibly, the possibility of a free and democratic Iraq is bearing fruit. Do the Dems still want to lose it?

Pro-Dem Ohio Sec Of State In Violation Of Election Law

Via Michelle Malkin, we get this press release from the Ohio GOP

Court Finds Brunner in Violation of Federal Law
Secretary of State appeals ruling, fights effort to validate registrations

(Columbus) - A federal court ruled tonight that Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner violated federal election laws by not taking adequate steps to validate the identity of newly registered voters.

The ruling from U.S. District Court Judge George C. Smith called the identification breakdown “a serious problem” and ordered Brunner to immediately comply with federal requirements to match voter registration data with the information in the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles and Social Security Administration databases. The court accused Brunner of failing to provide county election administrators with “an effective way to access and review mismatches.” She immediately appealed the ruling.

“For some reason, Jennifer Brunner does not want these new registrations checked,” said Ohio Republican Party Deputy Chairman Kevin DeWine. “Her refusal to comply with federal law raises serious concerns about her ability to objectively oversee this election. It’s especially troubling in light of her connection to ACORN and that group’s stunning confession this week of fraudulent registration activity happening right here in Ohio.”

Brunner’s effort to fight the court order comes just two days after the Democrat activist group ACORN admitted to the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections that the group engages in fraudulent voter registration activity.

Ohio ACORN officials “blamed the elections board for not scrutinizing ACORN’s suspicious cards,” claiming the group “can’t be expected to catch everything.”

ACORN is facing similar inquires in other Ohio counties as well as 10 other states. Members of the group’s “voter-mobilization arm,” Project Vote, regularly advise Brunner on election strategy, even recently issuing a news release that claims credit for Brunner’s directive restricting challenges to suspected fraudulent voter registrations. Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama also has strong ties to ACORN, working previously as an attorney and “leadership trainer” for the group.

OK, now I will wait for all the Democrats and Democrat groups who have been so vehemently decrying election fraud for 8 years to say “Kudos! We need people to act within the law! Let’s clean this up!” I could probably ask Brad Friedman, who has followed these issues for years. Oops. No, he feels that any GOP cries of fraud in Ohio is made up and an “October Surprise.”

A few DUmmies are not happy about this, and seem to be saying that requiring people to follow the law is bad. Otherwise, I’m not finding many on the Left who have found the story interesting. I wonder why?

Wizbang has much more, and points to a Townhall story about the silence of the Left.

I wonder what the Left will think of Obama’s ACORN turning in over 2,000 fraudulent voter registration forms, forcing even CNN to take notice. Last time I checked, ACORN was pulling for a Democrat. Eh, they’ll probably blame the GOP for making it an issue.

More: It just keeps getting worse and worse. Via Memeorandum and Google News, now we have

Andf, let’s not forget that ACORN, a supposedly non-partisan group that accepts no money from the government (snicker), endorsed Obama for President back in February 2008.

A Shocking Expose of the Truth Behind the Obama/Ayers Connection from CNN — What??

Shocking CNN Expose of the Obama/Ayers Connection

Cross posted from Glenn Beck.com

A note from Radarsite: Could it be that this is really the light at the end of this long dark tunnel of lies of the nefarious Obama campaign? It certainly is a shocking and unexpected development. To have this kind of unquestionably negative expose coming from CNN — of all places — is definitely a sign that there is still hope out there that the American people can finally accept the fact that Obama is what we have been saying he is for all these months. Is it too little too late? I hope and pray that it isn’t. - rg
———————————————————————–

From the Glenn Beck Show: 9 October 2008
Glenn Beck: CNN report on Ayers

GLENN: I want to play a piece from CNN. This is not Fox. This is CNN. This isn’t CNN Headline News. This is CNN. Believe me, I know how difficult it is to get something on the air at CNN. To get something on the air at CNN that is critical of Barack Obama, not really the easiest thing. There are not people clamoring to get that on the air. They check everything six ways to Sunday. Believe me, I know. I have to play this report from Anderson Cooper. Remember, this is not some right wing kook. This is not Fox. This is Anderson Cooper on CNN. Listen to this report on the “No connections between William Ayers and Barack Obama.”
COOPER: Bill Ayers and his wife Bernardine Dohrn in the 1960s and Seventies were radicals, members of the Weather Underground, an anti-Vietnam War group that bombed federal buildings including the U.S. capitol and the Pentagon. On the run for years, the case against them was thrown out due to illegal wire taps and prosecutor misconduct. Ayers has never repented and has said as late as 2001 he wished he had done more to stop the war.
Barack Obama confirmed during a primary debate that he knew Ayers and, when pressed, said they served on a charitable foundation board together.
GLENN: Listen to this.
COOPER: Obama condemned Ayers support of violence. But the relationship between Obama and Ayers went much deeper, ran much longer and was much more political than Obama said.
GLENN: Stop, stop. Just stop there. But it gets worse, again. How many times have you heard people say, “Oh, it’s the Clinton News Network, it’s the Communist News Network.” Yeah, sure. Again, the report from CNN on the connection between Ayers and Obama.
VOICE: Arguing is that somehow the fact that these people who served both educational reformers in Chicago, both of whom did have their paths cross professionally as well as neighbors occasionally, that somehow this association is a problem for Barack Obama because of Bill Ayers’ past and things that happened in the 1960s when Barack Obama was 7 years old. And that’s just wrong. And frankly it’s quite unfair.
COOPER: One place their paths repeatedly crossed according to a CNN review of board minutes and other records was Chicago’s Annenberg Challenge project where a $50 million grant from the Annenberg Foundation matched locally funds to schools. According to participants and project records, Bill Ayers fought to bring the Annenberg grant to Chicago. Barack Obama was recruited as its chair. For seven years Bill Ayers and Obama, among many others, worked on funding for education projects including some experiments supported by Ayers.

COOPER: Stanley Kurtz, a conservative researcher for the Ethics and Public Policy Center who has been reviewing the recently –
GLENN: This is the guy that Obama has tried to silence, now on CNN.
KURTZ: Instead of giving money directly to schools, they gave money to what they called external partners and these partners were often radical community organizer groups.
COOPER: And the board gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Bill Ayers’ small schools project, promoting alternative education, the peace school with a curriculum centered around a United Nations theme.
GLENN: Oh.
COOPER: And another school where the focus was African-American studies.
GLENN: Oh.
VOICE: And this was directly funded by Annenberg?
KURTZ: Oh, yes, under Obama’s chairmanship. Oh, yes, in a specific draw of the board of –
GLENN: Stop. This doesn’t bother anyone? This, I know this bothers you. This doesn’t? How do you dismiss? He was a chairman of the board that did experimental schools with a guy who says you shouldn’t discipline children, that quote: Children should rise up and kill their parents. Okay? He’s never corrected that. Never stood down from that. He’s on the board with that man doing experimental schools, and one of them is a school based on the United Nations? And somehow or another we’re just supposed to dismiss all of this. That, “It doesn’t really matter, oh, he’s not like that, oh, he didn’t know.” This guy is a full-fledged fascist in the wings. Now, that’s not to say that he’s going to become a fascist. This is the closest that we have ever come to having one. No, I take that back. We actually had one. His name was Woodrow Wilson. This guy actually put hundreds of thousands of people in jail for speaking out against him, the government or World War I. This guy developed a system through the Department of Justice where if you heard anyone speak out against the war, you heard anyone speak out against our country, you were to call the Department of Justice, your name would be withheld and the person you heard speaking out would go to prison! So we’ve had a fascist before. So if anybody tells you we can’t have one again, don’t listen to them. We’ve had one before, and this one is coming with a neon sign. This one’s coming with his own little militant children following behind him. This one’s coming with the Hitler youth in tow. How many times did we say in 1992, “Guys, I think this guy has a sex problem.” No, no, no. Now, I was willing to dismiss it after he was on 60 Minutes and say, you know what, we all have problems. I get it, we all have problems. He admitted it, we have problems, we’ve worked on it in our relationship, we don’t have a perfect relationship; we’re working on it. Great. But then woman after woman after woman, and everybody started to deny. Everybody was like, no, come on, they’re just making that up; they’re just doing that. Well, we ended up having a problem on the bathroom floor of the White House. Who’s going to be on the bathroom floor in the next administration? Karl Marx? Although he would look pretty hot in a tight blue cocktail dress.

Michelle’s Babie’s Daddy Not The Only Thing That Stinks

Memba this?

In an interview with Glamour magazine, Michelle Obama reveals that her husband, Barack, is so “snore-y and stinky” when he wakes up in the morning that their daughters won’t crawl into bed with him.

Could that account for this?

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama’s, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated.

CBS skewers the Obama campaign for the rest of the way the press corp is treated, along with the unprofessional actions of the Obama camp.

H/T Hot Air, where you should read Ed’s breakdown.
